About me

I am a lifelong Kirkwood resident, and my three children are 3rd generation Kirkwood students. My personal experiences in this district and the impact they had on me are exactly why I wanted to raise my family here. It was in my art class at Keysor Elementary where I learned how much I loved to be creative. It was in my 6th grade drama class at NKMS where I discovered my passion for theater. It was in my years at KHS, participating in clubs like Youth in Government, The AIDS Project, and Student Council, that I realized how rewarding it is to be a community leader and to help shape our world.

After high school, I attended the Pierre Laclede Honors College at the University of Missouri – St. Louis where I lived on campus and engaged in my college community. I performed in UMSL’s school plays, wrote for the student newspaper, and achieved leadership roles within my sorority.

After graduating Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Mass Communications, I embarked on a career in marketing. My work as a marketing director and brand manager has taken me to multiple industries including public works and infrastructure, agriculture, and even local craft beer. These roles have given me experience in deeply evaluating existing programs for opportunities, creative problem solving, and successfully working with diverse people and groups.

When I stepped back from my career to focus on my family and community, I devoted much of my time to the Kirkwood School District. I volunteered as PTO President for KECC and communications support for the Prop S and Prop R campaigns. I also participated in the District’s community focus groups during the development of the 2021-2026 Strategic Plan.

My long-standing passion for the school district combined with my increasing engagement lead me to run for a position on the Kirkwood Board of Education in 2024. It was one of the greatest honors of my life to earn the votes of my community and since taking office, I have served with dedication and determination.

While I am immensely proud of what I have achieved so far, I am excited to keep building on our successes with a second term. I have no doubt that I can continue to bring strong leadership, energy, vision, and discipline to the Kirkwood School Board, which will lead to the best results for our students, staff, families, and community.
